Shihan Bob Rowe 7th Dan


Bob began training in 1974 with Plymouth Bujinkai under Shihan John Smith and has trained with other prominent members of the Karate world including Peter Spanton, Toru Takamizawa, Ticky Donovan and Danny Connor.

He has competed at National and International level, representing England in Kumite.
Shihan Rowe has won many titles since entering competitions in the 1970’s. Titles include former Commonwealth Gold medallist, UK all styles Kumite Champion and Grand Slam Winner, Association Annual National Open Championships Senior Openweight Champion, Senior Lightweight Champion (9 times) and BKA Annual National Championsips Senior Lightweight runner up.

He has on many occasions competed in full contact Kumite bouts when this was first introduced to the UK in the 1970’s

In 1995 he left Bujinkai to form the Gôdôryu Karate Association with Shihan Paul Smith, initially registering under U.K.A.S.K.O and Roy Stanhope, now the association is a member of  FEKO.

Shihan Rowe is a qualified Coach and EKC judge.
Shihan Rowe was awarded 7th Dan by FEKO in 2005.
