Sensei Ray House 5th Dan


Ray started training in 1983 at Plympton Bujinkai Karate Club, under Shihan Paul Smith.
He was awarded 1st Dan grade in 1986.

As a 2nd Dan Ray took over the Plympton Karate Club in 1992.

In 1995 Sensei house was awarded 3rd Dan, he joined the Gôdôryu Karate Association when it was formed.

Sensei House continues to play a leading role in the Association and was awarded 5th Dan in 2007.

Sensei House has competed at national level in kata and kumite, winning the 1990 National Bujinkai Championships mens kata. Sensei House was member of the Bujinkai Devon Kumite team.

Sensei House has used his skill and knowledge gained from many years of Karate training and teaching to begin girls self defence classes in Plymouth schools. The Classes are operated by Plymouth City Council's Leisure Department and still continue.

Sensei House is a leading member of the Gôdôryu Karate Association and is the Club Secretary.
Sensei House is a qualified Coach Assessor, Child Coach and
is the Association Child Protection Officer, he is a well respected member of the Karate community and regular attendee at FEKO meetings.
